Bridgend County Borough Council – Wilderness Lake, Porthcawl
Regarded as an important recreational area for the local community, the Wilderness Lake, Porthcawl, comprises a coarse fishery and footpaths through mature woodland areas with picnic areas and children’s playground and skateboard park.
We were asked to design the interpretation and directional signage for the park which has recently received a Green Flag Award, marking it out as one of the best maintained and well-managed facilities in the UK.
The three panels, encased in green oak lectern frames, give the visitor information about the birds, fish and plants that can be seen at the park.
Chris Higginson, Development Manager (Parks and Playing Fields), Bridgend County Borough Council said: ‘I can confirm how pleased we are with the partnership working we have had with you to design, manufacture and print the new Information and Interpretation panels for The Wilderness Lake in Porthcawl.
‘Your local availability has enhanced getting the product we required within the timescale we had available.
‘Furthermore your cooperation between us and our in colleagues at Wood B at the Tondu Enterprise Park to work together to design and manufacture the Green Oak lecterns has been extremely effective.’
